Department Introduction

Eco-friendly Ship Research Division secures the core technologies of design in the shipbuilding and marine area, makes technical responses to main issues in eco-friendly vessels, marine plants, fishing boat modernization, etc. In addition, It develops and researches core technologies of ships, such as high-value added eco-friendly design and analysis technology, safety evaluation technology, and high-speed special boat technology, in the field of ships and marine plants.

  • Development of innovative and high-value added eco-friendly ship technology to respond to international regulations
  • Development of the core technologies related to small & medium shipbuilding
  • Design, performance evaluation, and performance advancement technologies of small & medium vessels and high-speed special boats
  • Design engineering consulting and supervision of vessels and marine structures
  • Development of fishing system and hull form for multi-purpose offshore small boats
  • Development of futuristic fishing boat technology for securing technical competitiveness in the fishing industry
  • Shipbuilding and marine R&D based new renewable energy

  • Development of hull form and technology of improved propeller performance
  • Fluid performance simulation and motion analysis technology of vessels and marine structures
