Specification of the high-speed towing tank system

  • High-speed towing tank : L370 x B8 x Dw5.5, m
  • High-speed towing carriage system : commercial towing speed 0.1m/s ~ 13m/s
  • Wave generation system : 2D regular waves: 0.04m ~ 0.5m

Targets of the design support center for small & medium high-speed vessels

  • Medium vessels: vessels with less than 200m in length, including tanker, bulk carrier, container, LNG, and fleet
  • Small vessels: vessels with less than 90m in length, including government boats, fishing boats, working boats, high-speed boats, and leisure boats
  • High-speed vessels: vessels with more than 25knots, including fleet, vessels for special purposes, patrol boats, cruise ships, and leisure boats

Range of fluid performance evaluation test using sixteen types of established facilities and equipment

  • High-speed boats and general merchant vessels : resistance, self-propulsion, added resistance on ships in waves, planing posture test, etc.
  • Propeller : Propeller open water efficiency test, wake field measurement test, etc.
